No matter what your career, you can increase the value of your nutrition education. We all know that as time goes on and the more experience we gain, the more valuable we become. No matter what your career, you can increase the value of your nutrition education. We all know that as time goes on and the more experience we gain, the more valuable we become. Now we can add to this the fact that we live in an industrial society with increasing degenerative diseases and obesity. At the same time medical care and insurance are becoming more out of reach for the average person.
This trend will likely continue as the population grows older, and as "baby boomers" strive to stay healthy and ward off disease. Even the President's Cancer Panel recommends that insurance cover nutrition counseling, wellness programs and that government should take a more active role in American's access to healthy foods. Those with a nutrition education will be helping to educate the population as well as filling in the jobs within these wellness programs.
In light of the fact that toxins and chemicals are abundant in modern societies, researchers and others are becoming more aware that people need to help their bodies. In fact, a study on infant's cord blood collected from American hospitals in 2005 by the American Red Cross showed an average of 208 chemicals in the blood. This disheartening news prompted Congress to send a letter to the American Chemical Council encouraging them to begin studies on the toxicity of these chemicals.
Now more than ever it is important to learn to eat the right foods and help our bodies cleanse. As more of these studies come to light, nutrition is in higher demand while people realize they need to be proactive in their health care and not wait for disease to set in.
Update your education and keep in touch with the reality that holistic health and body cleansing is becoming more popular. It is up to us to learn how the body cleansing process fits in with the overall health of the population. In addition, we need to learn how foods affect our bodies' ability to cleanse itself and how certain foods can suppress our immune systems.
As you can see, nutritional counseling is an increasingly valuable service. Increase your value even more by educating yourself in holistic-based therapies including herbal and dietary supplementation and body work modalities such as lymphatic drainage or massage therapy. Most importantly, research cleansing the body and using colon cleansing programs and herbs. You will benefit your clients while they thank you for it.
